A Leading Cannabis Company in South Africa

AfriCannabis aims to be the leading corporate citizen in its sectors. The overarching objective is to improve the social, environmental and economic well-being of our communities, and the African society at large, as most of our operations will be based in Africa. AfriCannabis will conduct business in a way that is ethical which means taking accountability for our social, economic and environmental impact, and consideration of human rights. The approach will be to drive positive change in terms of profit, people and planet. In addition, the founders of AfriCannabis have established a separate legal entity called the African Cannabis Foundation which, in order to ensure sustainability and to further demonstrate the commitment, 26% of the initial share capital in AfriCannaBiz (the South African operations of AfriCannabis) have been allocated to the African Cannabis Foundation.

The African Cannabis Foundation (ACF) is a direct shareholder in AfriCannaBiz (the South African operations of AfriCannabis) and aims to be an influential, independent, non-profit company (NPC) positioned as a public benefit organisation that aims to improve the lives of Africans. The Foundation will include both charitable projects and projects focused on sustainability, development and economic transformation. The focus will be on qualifying black economic empowerment (BEE) projects, with an emphasis on women, youth development and empowerment.

ACF believes entrepreneurship and small enterprise development is a critical engine for growth and sustainability and will therefore support, develop and drive entrepreneurship in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in the Cannabis and Hemp industries. This will benefit the wider African community. Accordingly ACF will provide funding to small, medium and micro-sized enterprises, to contribute to the economic and social empowerment of historically disadvantaged persons. This will be done primarily by supporting entrepreneurship development and social innovation with a priority focus on providing opportunities within small, medium and micro-sized enterprises for women and youth, people in rural areas, as well as persons with disabilities.
